Fujita (IPMU) Speaker: Tomohiro Fujita (Kavli IPMU) Title: Inflationary Magnetogenesis Abstract: Recently, very large scale magnetic fields are observed in void regions. Since they are thought to be a key to solve the long outstanding problem of galactic/galaxy cluster magnetic fields, they gather attentions from both theorists and observationalists. Although their strength and size are roughly fixed by observation, their origin is a big mystery. Thus it gives us a good motivation to build inflationary models of "magnetogenesis". I will briefly review magnetogenesis models from inflation, show that all preceding models are not viable (as long as I know) and discuss the remaining possiblity of model building. |
